Start your tomatoes and peppers ASAP. do not plant out before mid may unless we get no more cold days. do peppers first if you have time constraints. They are slowere than tomatoes/
Peas can go in ground, sooner the better. they like their footsies cold.

Parsley can be started in or out. Basil, same. I suspect you could experiment w/ basil and toss a few seeds where you plan to grow. I find most basils tend to self sow around here. Thanks Mary! The books and web are good, but there's nothing like an experienced gardener's advice. Each year I've added a bit more to the garden, and this year there are a lot of new things for me. I really appreciate your help.

I'm going to plant my marigolds and zinnias tonight! I'll plant them indoors, beause they're going to just stay potted. I have a lousy memory for where I've put stuff and always end up digging in a spot where I put seeds a month ago. In fact, now that I'm writing this, I'll bet I messed up my poppy seeds yesterday....
