Well, everyone, I have evidence that Spring will get here eventually. I just returned from a "college-shopping" trip with my son from N.& S. Carolina.

We landed in Raleigh (Duke), and went as far south as Greenville, SC (Furman). Everywhere the forsythia and Bradford Pears were in full bloom. Many beautiful beds of pansies doing their cool weather thing.

Sheltered Rhodies near Charlotte were also blooming. Plenty of daffodils still up and viable. The redbuds were getting ready, other trees were slowly budding.

In Greenville, the saucer magnolias were almost done, but at Duke, they were just starting, although the star magnolias were in full bloom.

The Furman rose garden was leafing out, even though the landscape crew were still pruning in some areas. Grass was well greened up. Redbuds were looking like they would be in full bloom next weekend.

Anyway, spring will surely reach us eventually....Laurel
