Leota, 6 hours of full sun is generally the magic number for growing veggies but I think many veggies will produce with 5 hrs of sun as long as it's good strong middle-of-the-day sun. I've grown tomatoes, cukes and even peppers with less than ideal sun and they produced fine.

Many leafy veggies such as lettuce, chard and mustard greens do fine with less than 5-6 hrs of sun.

Thank you for your response. I work during the day so it's hard to guage exactly the hours. I'm going to be monitoring it closely today to see the exact # of hours of sun. I know that by 1 in the afternoon (when I come home for lunch) it is generally in full sun. I'm thinking it gets around 5 hours of sun so this year will be an experiment.
