Anyone know how late coreopsis stays in bloom in MD/z7 ? I'm looking for something yellow or gold to bloom with autumn fire sedum in the fall.

RE: Coreopsis bloom time in mid-atlantic

What type of coreopsis? I don't keep a written record of bloom times but I did look back through some pictures. I have a few pictures taken in August showing coreopsis ('Moonbeam' and 'Early Sunrise') blooming and my Sedum 'Autumn Joy' not in bloom. I found one picture taken on September 30 showing just a few blooms on my Moonbeam and my Sedum blooming.

I might suggest looking into mums if you want some yellow flowers to go with your Sedum. There are some ornamental grasses that take on nice golden colors in the fall.
