mystery plant - with photo

We missed being there this year!

At last year's swap, someone gave my daughter this wonderful plant that she planted in her garden. It stayed evergreen through the winter, and the green looked lush and beautiful. Does anyone know what it is? It's starting to wilt in the sun, so I'm wondering if it's a shade plant.

Thanks!

Thanks...I had no idea it was evergreen.

I got some last year, too -- it was tiny and is now blooming - Thanks to whoever shared it.
