| My lilac bush started to produce buds in early March due to the mild Winter. (everything was coming up about 1 month early).
Well the frost and cold weather that followed nipped them right in the bud - so to speak, and now - late May - I have nothing. No leaves, certainly no flowers, just a barren couple of branches with those buds still hanging on. Is this bush dead? Hopeless? Anything I can do? Also have a climbing hydrangea in the same state - just barren twigs. (this one never did bloom since it was planted anyway - but at least in past years it produced foliage).
