Are Florist Azaleas Hardy in this Area?

My husband gave me a lovely red florist azalea this past Easter and I was thinking of planting it outside for the summer. Right now, it's at work and loving life; its bloom time has passed, but it's still looking good.

Would planting it outdoors in a few weeks give it enough time to get used to the weather?

Last summer, I got some mini roses out of the bargain cart at the local Giant and planted those in a container on my deck. They've really grown and are just about ready to bloom. Can I do the same with an azalea?

I asked this question in the Azalea Forum, but thought I'd ask here as well.
