Scottish Moss

RockCreek

I purchased and planted "Scottish moss" several weeks ago which was a beautiful bright lime green when planted, but is now turning yellowish-brown. The spot is mostly shady but with some early morning sun. Any thoughts on what is wrong, or how to save the moss? Is it the heat (temperatures in the high 80's to 90's in the last week)? Humidity? What kind of soil does this plant need? Note, not withstanding the name, the plants look like tufts of grass -- I'm not sure that this is really a "moss."
