Poet's Jasmine in Cedar Stump?

Hello everyone,

I've got a [new] cedar stump in my front yard that I was hoping to use as an "asset" rather than a nuisance, and am wondering whether Poet's Jasmine would work. I love the fragrance of Jasmine, and this one sounds like it has a long bloom time.

I realize that I'm pushing the zone a little bit; it's a chance I'm willing to take! [have successfully done that with other things] My concern was, is there any other reason why it may not do well there? It's on the northwest side of our yard, and gets a mixture of sun and shade.

Thanks!
