Hey all!

I was just at the Wal-mart in Bowie. LynnT had told me they had huge 'Sagae' hosta for a few bucks, but what she didn't tell me is that huge meant HUGE. They also have gorgeous, huge 'Sum and Substance' 'Guacamole' 'Patriot' 'Elegans' 'Inniswood' (which takes sun), and a couple more.

They've also got a nice shrub selection right now. I got a bunch of small weigelia, euroneymous, a bunch of different, interesting junipers, some thulga (or however you spell all those names), and a lot more.

Cannot beat the prices.

(No lectures, please. I don't see the employees streaming out in droves because of "working conditions".)

Anyway, if you're out this way, it's worth a look.

The Walmart near us doesn't ever seem to carry anything interesting, and anything that's labeled as being interesting turns out to be mislabeled. My experience is with Roses, though (as in looking at the rose, looking at the label and going, I *know* this one should be blooming yellow and not red).

We have nice varieties of Hosta at the local (Shady Grove, Rockville) Home Depot. My favorite is 'Fire and Ice'. Absolutely stunning!
