Starting over here - suggestions?

I'm in the process of rehabbing a two-story 60 year-old brick home in Wilmington. I spent the weekend tearing out very old, neglected shrubbery at the front of the house, all except four beautiful azaleas that I trimmed and believe I can save. The front faces west but very late afternoon is dappled sun due to the neighbors trees.

I've got a plan on paper for what the front should look like but would like feedback and/or alternatives if I can't find my first choice. I've linked to a picture of my plan if it works. Also would welcome nursery suggestions.

Camellia (one corner)

Wegelia (opposite corner)

Viburnum Shasta (2)

Blue Mist Shrub (1)

Bridal Wreath Spirea (1)

False Blue Indigo (1)

"Purple" shrub (2)

The purple shrub is something I had at our last home. It's definitely not barberry (don't like that). It was very low-growing, decidious and had soft pink flowers in spring. I'll know it when I see it...
