Hello. I live in dundalk and bought hollyhock plants last year. They didn't flower last year, they died off for the winter and then came back this year and were beautiful with so many blooms. The seeds that fell to the ground naturally have already started to grow. I guess as long as you keep them watered for awhile due to the heat and drought I think they will be fine. I have thousands of hollyhock seeds if you would like some. They were probably 6-9 ft tall and all shades of pinks, purples, one peach, of course the bees cross polinated them. If you would like some just let me know, maybe we can share seeds and plants. I have tons of forget me nots that I let go to seed, now I have tons of little forget me not plants. Thanks, Jenny.

In my neighborhood we put in a hollyhock at the library a few years ago and they are on a self-sowing cycle. If you want to come to Rockville you could take as many seedlings as you wanted.
