Hi Everyone,

I live in Forest Hill off of Osborn Drive and I enjoy pond and land plant trading.

    Welcome! :)

I have no idea here you live, but you're in good company. :)
Did you build your pond? We're going to tear down our house someday and build a lake.
What'cha got to trade... [greedy grin]

    Hi Ray,

Not in Harford, but still Baltimore County north of the beltway. I have a small pond, but this is only the second summer and we're still going through the trial and error stage, so I'm afraid the only plants I have for ponds are very common, yellow flag and physostegia (obedient plant).

Have some perennials to share--let me know what you're interested in.

I'm in the townhouses by the Wal Mart in Abingdon. No Pond, but more daisies than I know what to do with. I'm starting to get some annual seeds, and did I mention daisies?

I'm in King's Charter, about 5 minutes from the Festival shopping center. No pond, but I have extensive land gardens. Hurt my achilles tendon this spring and gardens are a mess, but I'm always open to trades.
Have a baby Thuja "green Giant" that I'd love to give away. Needs digging, but has only been in the ground 1 year. Too big for space.
Really sorry I missed the Ladew sale.
Let's keep the thread open. I'm a bit gardening challenged due to achilles tendon injury, but if someone posts a good sale I'll be there.

I went to the butterfly function Saturday at Ladew. Monarchs were released one at a time. They flew straight up, oriented themselves, and headed SW for Mexico. Very educational, kids loved it. It has already been scheduled for next September. We must support quality, educational events like this in Harford Co.

Hi! I'm new to this forum, and new to gardening. I got started when I was tired of mowing my front lawn - so I took it out. I'm in Edgewood. This summer I started working on my back yard (townhouse)too. I guess my primary focus is more stonework, hardscaping, and I like the Japanese style.

Being new to the forum, I missed the event at Ladew.

Can anyone recommend garden centers or nurseries they particulary like in the area?

Tomorrow afternoon, Sept 8 at 2PM, Green Roof Plants; A Resource and Planting Guide, will be presented by Ed and Lucie Snodgrass. This will be at the Bel Air Library. Learn all about the principles of greenroofs where plants such as sedum are grown on the roofs to absorb water. Sorry for the short notice, contrary to website, registration is not necessary for this presentation.

Anyone here planning to go to Ladew on Saturday May 2? I had planned to go, then I realized $15 admission, too steep for me. Someone else go and let me know how it turned out.

I'm in Joppatowne and will need help getting my yard in shape. The house had been poorly maintained for years and all landscaping except trees were pulled. My yard last year was mostly dirt. I'm looking for any advice I can. I pulled 4 shopping bags of dandelions yesterday and there are still more to pull. I have to take some pictures.
