any luck with "Bangle Spanish Gorse"?

I saw this plant on Wayside recently, and it might work in a small planting bed at the top of our driveway retaining wall. The pictures in bloom look a lot like a 2-foot forsythia. It's a mid- to late-spring bloomer.

Can anybody tell me what it looks like, the rest of the year? It is in the broom family, and is said to have olive green foliage.

I thought I'd put spirea next to it, to take over with color in June.

We are next to the woods, and really get whacked by deer and rabbits. Rutgers' very useful list does not mention this plant. Wayside says it is deer resistant.

Any experience with this, or any comments?
