Suggestions for window boxes - not mums!

I have lots of window boxes which looked great up until recently, but my petunias have completely died out. I thought they loved hot weather, but these are completely gone. Must not have watered enough. Any ideas what I can pop in there to replace them to add some color until frost? What do you have going in window boxes that are still looking good?

I had the same problem and replaced some things with annual vinca. The only place I have been able to find it is Walmart.

What ever annuals Walmart or Lowes' still have. After all we are talking about plants that are going to go south in about 4 1/2 months. Why spend a lot of money? Or try your local farmer's market--both Kensington and Takoma Park near me still have sellers with some annuals.
