Planting a Flowering Cherry in July?

Hi All:

We're having some issue with deer in our front yard and are interested in simplifying and removing some flower beds.

Is it too late to get a Flowering Cherry in the ground in MD? And does anyone have a good source for flowering trees at this time of year in Montgomery County? Have checked Johnson's, but no luck.

Apologies for a landscaping question in the garden forum! Just wanted to take advantage of a busier board with more MD traffic.

Cheers!

I definitely would wait until early fall which is a much better time for this. Planting trees in the middle of summer is just asking for trouble.
