I have a large container garden on my deck consisting mainly of impatiens, petunias, coleus, and portulacas. I used MiracleGro potting soil and now, with the recent sunny days and rainy nights, everything is HUGE and quite overgrown. The impatiens are very tall and leafy (not so many blooms), the portulacas are long and floppy (and rarely blooming), and the coleus is downright scary---one of them is now up to my hip! Is there any way to prune any of these back? I tried cutting the tall coleus back but now it just looks weird. Please send along any suggestions---my deck looks completely unkempt and overgrown!
