Pruning Weeping Atlas Cedar

HELP! I have "inherited" a weeping blue atlas cedar in my front yard. It is way to big right now to fit its space. The height is about 10 feet and is 15 feet wide. The trunk of the main stem is about 10 inches in diameter. Can I heavily prune this shrub at this point without killing it or making it look stupid. I love it, however it is now competing with a tree in my front yard almost obstructing the whole view of the front of my house and growing into the driveway and unwanted places. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
