Cleome 'Sparkler' series

I read in the Washington Post Home section yesterday that the Cleome 'Sparkler' series are dwarf (3ft) and do not reseed as they are sterile. Have you found this to be true? I love Cleome but I had seedlings forever. Thoughts anyone? I'm thinking of next year's summer garden while waiting on my spring bulb order to come in. Thanks, Ree
