Fall MAG Swap

Was a lovely day for the swap (I got VERY sun-burned without knowing it!). Came away with more plants than I had any right to expect and really enjoyed the impromptu picnic. Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

At the swap I mentioned the idea of exchanging phone numbers so we could unload plants on each other throughout the year. If you are interested, please send me an e-mail with your name, phone number and town. It would probably help if you put down some characteristic for those of us who forget names frequently(for instance, hair style/color, what you had an abundance of at the trade, who you brought with you--whatever might jog our memories). I'll put together a list and then e-mail a copy out to everyone.

Hello Diana, we had a great time too. I missed the mint tea but my husband said it was wonderful. He came as a driver and plant wrangler and enjoyed sampling the goodies and talking to the gardeners.

I was the one who gave you the anise (fennel) seed. I showed great will power and only brought home a tarragon cutting and some basil seeds, but my English friend Sharon came away with almost as much as we brought. She has a very large double lot with plenty of room to expand her perennial beds. We're all looking forward to the next swap.

We also er, um, got plenty of vitamin D...

I wanted to be sure to say that my neighbor up the street was extremely excited about all of the monkey grass I brought home in exchange for unloading the Chilean guava, which may be hardy down to 15 degrees, and if you tried hand-pollinating the flowers, you might get more of a crop than I did (not that it would be possible to get less of one).
