| You missed the private sales and swaps, Nancy -- Green Springs, Beltsville Garden Club, Londontown Gardens, Potomac Native Plant Society, Brookside Gardens -- all these have sales in September, and most local garden clubs have their swaps in September or early October. These weren't as lively as usual this year due to the drought. You can still get some good deals at Meadows Farms/Behnkes et al and it's peak season for bulbs, but not for plant sales in general. | I went to Behnke's today, half price bulbs (excluding paperwhites and something else) and half price 1 1/2 gallon mums. :) Christy |

| Costco in Frederick has bulbs marked down. 100 tulips for 9.97 or 60 for 6.97. Can't beat that. Northern VA may not have marked down yet. |
