Can anyone give my survivor rose a new home?

I rescued this rose from my next door neighbor (or, as I like to think of him, Mr. "Black Thumb of Doom") since it was barely getting by in a shaded overhang with practically no water and I felt sorry for it. It has managed to survive and bloom through two transplantings and a move to an indoors container in a condo kitchen, but although it persists in putting out leaves while under a growing light, it is not thriving. It seemed to do much better outside. Does anyone have some sunny outdoors space that could use a rose? It's either a miniature rose or one with smaller flowers -- I'm not sure, since its time with me has been pretty stressful. The blooms are white with many petals.

I have a friend who dies for roses.
Where are you? I'll come get it for her if you still have it.

Hi Christine,

Right after I posted that message, I had to go out of town on a family emergency. Sadly, when I got back a couple of weeks later, my poor rose had dropped all its leaves. Right now it looks about the same as it did when I first dug it up. I feel terrible about it.

I don't think it's completely dead, because if you break off some of the branches, the inside wood still looks a little green. But it sure doesn't look very well.

If your friend still wants to take a chance on it, I would be happy to deliver it wherever, and also throw in a bag of Slow-Release Miracle-Gro that I can't use anymore since I moved to the condo.

If you want to pick it up, I live in Bethesda; is that anywhere near you?
