Some of us are organized and some of us would scare the horses if we got organized.

But our MAG swaps are always informal. Come with what ever plants you can bring. Or just bring chocolate or some other goodie for the potluck. Many of us will have fewer plants than usual this swap due to the drought, but there are bound to be some unclaimed plants. Our philosophy doesn't depend on straight trades as much as you'll get plants now, later on you'll bring more and pass them on to the next person.

Our usual format is:

Arrange a trade ahead of time from people's have's and want's lists if there is something you especially want. The arranged trades will have people's names on the labels or bags or pots or however the plants come.

Taking a plant with some one's name on it is very bad manners.

Everything else is up for discussion. With more valuable plants, people may ask what you have to trade. Otherwise just ask if you can have something that isn't labelled with a person's name and chances are you will take it home.

Some people (whose gardens are chockful) won't even take plants in trade, if you offer.

Our swaps are always an incredible plant experience, even in the rain. This one may be a bit spare for plants, but we will still have fun.
