Looking for concrete garden planters

I was thinking of putting a couple of garden planters next to a patio under the tree, essentially to provide height as the bed is downhill from the patio. I started calling the nurseries around here and quickly ran into $$$$.

I understand no one gives valuable things away, but has anyone encountered a source for concrete garden objects less costly than the nurseries? Say a concrete block company, etc?

I debated about hypertufa, but I flunked "cut and paste" in the 2nd grade.

Suggestions?

Check out a place on Route 15 a bit north of Leesburg. I think the town name is Lucketts. It's at a 4 corners with a light. Lots of metal and concrete garden stuff, and pretty cheap.

If you don't mind a drive, there's an incredible place in Harrisonburg, VA - Harper's - right off I-81 that has an amazing selection of concrete statuary, pots, etc. - and at reasonable prices compared to what the local garden centers are charging. Have you tried posting on your local Freecycle or Craigslist? You might be surprised and find someone that wants to get rid of their planters.
