Oath, I found my Chuck Haye's at a nursery on the Outer Banks of North Carolina...if you're ever down that way:-)It's too bad they're so difficult to find locally. Mine was a nice size and I think I paid 20.00$ for it. I would imagine that nurseries around the southern part of Virginia would carry them as well.

Otherwise, I would absolutely talk to some local nurseries and ask if they'd stock them. I planted mine last year and it grew and flowered quite well this year. (I want more)It's in a sunny spot on the south facing side of my house, near the brick foundation.

I bought my "Chuck Hayes" from Woodlanders.net several years ago. It was a pretty good size when it arrived and is still going strong.

Thanks for the input, I'll definely try to contact some local nurseries and see if they can try to get it, and that website is rather remarkable, lots of interesting plants.

I'd call Behnke's and ask to speak to the woody plants specialist. At the Beltsville location, he is pretty knowledgeable and should be able to tell you if Behnke's has them on order for the spring season. Or if not, why not.
