HAVE: For Spring Swap - Veggie plants

I remember last year, someone said that they had just bought tomato plants..... and I had tons of them!

So, I have just potted up 60 Brussels Sprouts (plants) and put them out in the cold frame. Should be plenty to share at the swap!

Also, Mammoth RedRock Cabbage. Potted up 28 of these.

I'll also have tomatos (though I didn't plant as many as last year). I have approx:

34 Super Beefsteak (16+ oz fruits -superior disease and crack resistance, good flavor (80 days))

52 Green Zebra (3 oz fruits - had these last year - were a fairly mild tomato (80 days))

56 Tiger Tom ((large striped cherry tomato - seeds from the Winter Blues swap so someone else has them as well :-) (70 days))

22 Cherokee Chocolate (12-16 oz fruits, sweet, slightly tart, firm and juicy - nice slicer (80 days))

Maybe some onion plants and some herbs - depends on how far they go when I start moving them outside :-)

You can count on me using 3-4 of each variety of tomatoes, half a dozen brussels sprouts, and a few cabbage in my own garden, as well as giving a few to friends and family. The rest are yours at the swap!

Count me in on a few of your tomatoes and brussel sprouts. I have beefsteak, but not the others, so those would be nice to try. I haven't grown brussel sprouts in years, so will be good too to try.

I remember last year your's and someone else's tomato plants were fabulous, and I enjoyed growing them in my veggie garden!

I too have a few tomato plants I *may* be bringing... depends on whether or not my friendslocally make away with them all *laugh*. I grow mostly heirlooms and have 13 varieties this year between stuff for myself and other folks I'm starting for so can't say what I'd be bringing just yet!

Joyce, if you have an extra superbeefsteak, I would love to swap for one or two (dont have much room)
Also, Marie, if you HAPPEN to have an extra caspian pink looking for a good home...(the tomatoe you shared with me several years back was so delicious and darned cute too)!

Suzi- for you, I may well be able to accomodate *GRIN* (they are the best along with two others I raise consistantly now: Arkansas Traveller and German Red Strawberry)

Well, all my tomato seedlings bit the dust (all 24 of them), so I was planning on buying plants. Now I will wait and see what is available at the swap.

(Did I mention I have a brown thumb when it comes to starting stuff from seed????)

I am pleased to hear about the tomato plants. Selection around here has been very poor this year. There appears to be two swaps that are about to happen. I am going to the one on the 11th of June. Which one are you going to be at? Carmellia
