Does anyone have a spare sapling of a Meteor cherry they'd like to trade, or send for postage?? OR do you know if you can grow it from seeds of the cherry? Thanks,

| They don't grow true from seed, and have to be grafted. I do have two trees and you could have scionwood from them this fall if you want to get a suitable rootstock and graft them. I also have a little Evans cherry in a small pot which you could have. They grow on their own roots and are quite similar to Meteor. Like Meteor, they're cold hardy, amarelle-type cherries. Ours started to mature on July 13 this year, one day after Meteor. Fruit quality is similar. They're supposed to have higher yields, but haven't yet for us. |
