| Happy winter to all and the days are getting longer!!!
Last summer I planted a summer squash named 'Papaya Pear' which had an easy to peel thin skin. Similar in texture to zucchini but more of a squash flavor. I still have a few in my heated garage so they're good keepers. And the other is a butternut squash named 'Sweet Mama' which is an excellent keeper and wonderful flavor -either baked or pan-fried. No sugar needed. My husband likes it better than potatoes. I ordered both over the internet last spring- don't remember the companies right off hand. Peggy ps Excited to have the Amer. Hosta Convention in Bloomington MN this year! |
