I am a fairly new gardener, Ive had a few gardens here and there but with the purchase of our new home now I plan to get serious. I have started a few seedlings of tomatoes and peppers and have noticed a fine mold over the top. How does this happen and what can I do to fix this? I have them in a small indoor greenhouse with a light suspended above them. Was thinking it may need some air flow. Thought Id get some answers first.

You definitely need some airflow. I start my seeds under a humidity dome. As soon as seedlings sprout I move them under shop lights in my basement. I have the lights on a timer. I also have a fan on a timer and it kicks in a couple times of day. You have to be careful of damping off. It can wipe out seedlings very quickly. I will let you google damping off, I'm to tired tonight to go into detail

Thank you. I will get a fan on them starting today. Dont want to lose any plants

Just remember to start low speed and short time periods until they toughen up.

Also remember that they will dry out faster if using a fan so need to check for watering more often.
