Right now, today. We all know it changes for most of us, depending. Just looking for a bit of distraction to keep me from tromping about the garden and cutting down stalks too early!

Well it is my gloves, since I prefer working with my hands.

Hmmm... good question. I'm not sure about my favorite, but definitely one of my most used last summer was my wheelbarrow! I'd have a very hard time getting along without it. At least until I've completely filled up this yard with better stuff then grass :-)

HORI! Must have my hori-hori!!! It can do just about anything - dig, plant, cut roots, heck on weeds - in any soil! Just ask the folks who watched me whip it out last spring at the swap and dig geum out of the wet soil and gravel! -Marie

Love my garden knife! Though I can see already my home-made weed killer (tongs with sponge attached to ends with rubber bands - dip in roundup and stroke along undesirable plant) is going to get much use--quackgrass is up and green, curse it's avaricious little designs!

Hori hoi without a doubt.

A five gallon plastic pail. I can mix in it, haul plants in it, flip it upside down and sit on it, protect a plant nearby while digging, again flipping it upside down, I can carry tools in it, I can carry water in it, I can mix fertilizer in it, I can haul picked flowers in it, I can bring home plants from the neighbors in it. Want me to go on? ;) Second best is my soil scoop...., maybe.... |

My Glide-N-Groom hoe. If you haven't tried one, you should.

It's gotta be the beer bottle opener. Nothing better than enjoying the garden view from the deck with a cold one. LOL

Well, rasslinmama, on that note I would have to say my corkscrew! (I am a wine drinker) Ha! I always carry one in my purse, too. You know, for "emergencies"! Linda |
