I have never been there, but I saw one fly by our house over the weekend. We live right in south Minneapolis. I was looking out my studio window and there it was flying above Minnehaha Creek. Last summer one of our neighbors lost her cat to a Bald Eagle early one morning by Lake Nokomis, which is just 3 blocks from us. She was out running the cat always followed her, the eagle swooped down and no more cat. Pauline

A red-tailed hawk frequently roosts near my neighbor's bird feeder for a meal. It's nature at it's best.

I have had red-tailed hawks, barred owls and cooper's hawks sit at/near my feeders in the past. We have a pair of eagles that nest somewhere nearby. We see them almost daily. Pauline, that must have been one HUNGRY eagle to pick off a cat right in front of it's owner! Yikes! But I can't even imagine the thrill of seeing 50-100 baldies in one sighting! Just don't know if it is too late or if they are still migrating. Linda
