| Yesterday, I attended a Small Space Vegetable Gardening talk at my local library sponsored by Hennepin Cty. Master Gardeners and the U of MN Extension. One of the most fascinating tidbits of information was learning about growing potatoes in containers. It seems like a brilliant idea to me! I'm going to try it this year. | Fun! I'd love to try this. Do you know what bushel baskets are? Are they pricey? |

| I have grown potatoes in 5 gallon buckets with the bottoms cut out completely. It worked pretty well. I put a small amount of soil in the bottom. Placed in my potatoes and as the plants grew up I occasionally added soil until the bucket was full. To harvest the potatoes I simply had to pick up the bucket and everything fell out the bottom. |
