Wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to be outside on a beautiful day like today, but I think we had a better turnout than last year. I had the pleasure of meeting another one of our MN GW members: Karen.

Debuting: Friends School (Plant Sale)-Julie, you could have met Henry!

I sat right across from the Bonsai Society, and watched them trim branches, roots, repot, and wire. Even a lowly (very lowly) one gallon potentilla was transformed into a respectable bonsai.

A part of me was with you there-
I have wanted to go to that event ever since I heard of it- even before gardenweb! Always- something else comes up!
But this year, I was home celebrating a long awaited graduation with my family for my daughter-
I wouldn't have wanted to miss that for the world!!
Some day- I will be there in body-
How wonderful to meet so many planty folk- webby folk- and watch the whole process of Bonsai unfold before your eyes! I am happy you-all had such a good turnout and were enjoying the great outdoors!
Maybe next year will turn out different for me....

Hi, I just wanted to say how glad I was to meet Rick, (a wealth of knowledge there), I also thought there might be an opportunity to see others. It was not to be. The fair was lowkey, nice people, a perfect start to the gardening season. I even joined the Rose Society.
