Mackie, my thought is that it depends on what you want to do with them. If you want a big harvest to freeze for the entire year, I'd wait. But if you want fresh peas to eat through the season, what would it hurt to put some in now? I'm not sure whether I'm going to raise peas this season or not (space limitation), but I put in lettuce, endive, and radishes today. If they don't make it, I'm out a couple of bucks (tops) and I put in some more in a couple of weeks.

I'm with jel48. I put lettuce, radishes, carrots, spinach and peas in the ground on the same day -- April 3rd.
