flower beds/roses questions

I really SHOULD know this, but I'll chalk the question up to being a semi-newbie. When should I take the leaves off of the flower beds?

Also, I'm new to rose growing; do I need to cut my rose bushes/climbing roses back at all? I just bought them last year.

Thanks for your help!

I would wait a while, yet. These temps are unseasonably cold.

I usually rake the leaves/mulch off my beds late April or early May. I always have them done by Mother's Day, tho.

I noticed yesterday some of my daylilies are peeking out of the ground! YAY

Wait on the roses until they break bud and you can actually see what is dead and what is living.
