WHO: Master gardeners, garden dabblers and wannabe gardeners

WHAT: Mantorville will be having it's Spring Fling Weekend May 19, 20. As a new feature, we'll be adding a garden swap on Saturday at 10:00 AM. If you have extra plants, plastic (or other) pots or other gardening supplies...bring'em. If you don't have anything but want to start gardening...please join us. This is the first year of what we hope to make an annual event.

WHERE: 400 block of Clay Street in Mantorville (@ 17 miles west of Rochester) We'll use the boulevard to line up plants.

WHEN: We'll start at 10:00 so plan to arrive 9:30-10:00.

HOW: We'll use a "Rounds" system to be sure everyone gets a reasonable chance at plants/'stuff' they gotta have.

Round 1: Each person will BRIEFLY describe what they

brought

Round 2: Each person picks 1 item

Round 3: Each person picks 2 items

Round 4: Each person picks 3 items

Round 5: Scramble - take what you want.

Anything left will go to one of our community gardens, one of our historic restoration sites, or my compost bin as a last resort.

No rain dates. The swap will happen rain or shine!

I know this is short notice but I just got asked to do this yesterday, so take a break and come on out! Stick around and take the walking tour, check out the shops and art gallery and it you really want to get a 'taste of Mantorville' lunch at the Hubbel House.
