Parsley Root: want to grow my own

Posted by leaveswave . (My Page) on

Anyone know a local (Twin Cities) source of seeds or seedlings?--or even the grown root, but I've never noticed it anywhere...

Note that this is a different variety than the parsley grown for the leaves. It looks similar to a carrot, but is white.

We were in Budapest and this is a key ingredient to authentic Hungarian goulash, which we would like to make with our Hungarian paprika!

RE: Parsley Root: want to grow my own

I've never grown it myself, or even seen it at the FM, but am fascinated now that I've read up on it a bit. I hope someone responds. Meanwhile, here's what appears to be a good fact sheet on growing the vegetable:

Good luck. Gary
