Twice a year there is a great perennial plant exchange in the Twin Cities area. I'm not sure what group hosts this, but I was told that several members are Master Gardeners and they rotate the hosts each time. Newbies without plants to swap are asked to bring snacks instead. Otherwise they ask that one brings at least 3 plants, such as perennials, bulbs, trees, shrubs, or seeds. Some people bring over 100 plants to share. It's a great way to swap, and it's free unless you want to bring $1 for the raffle. Just label your plants and bring a box to carry home your goodies.
