I think that we are good to go. I am waiting until this weekend for good measure(late spring and all) and that is when I will have time. Forecasts look good and we rarely get frost past mid May. Last year I think last frost was May 7th in my neighborhood.

Just wanted to mention that coleus are very tender... I remember having bought a bunch of seedlings one year. We had a late frost. It got down to 27 degrees. I had moved them into the garden shed overnight AND covered with a blanket, and they all died.

If you want to be sure, don't plant until memorial day. The Twin Cities last AVERAGE frost date is May 15. At that time, if the forcast doesn't reaveal anything ominous, go ahead and plant. Some plants that need warm soil, like tomatoes, peppers, calla, caladiums, etc., won't benefit from early planting in the ground. They just sit and sulk until the soil warms (around June 1). Meanwhile, if you kept these in pots growing, they will get on jump on anything planted in the ground.

I'd keep an eye on the forecast the next couple of nights.

Thanks everyone. I still haven't planted my tender annuals. Maybe sometime this week as it starts to warm up. Instead of planting I got my gardening fix yesterday by pulling garlic mustard as it was misting. Filled an entire garbage bag and there is still garlic mustard out there in the woods. So invasive!
