Fat Albert Spruce Not Blue?

I bought a Fat Albert Spruce last fall. This spring it is not blue, but green. Can I add something to the soil to bring the blue back or do I have a misfit?

There's a natural variation among species where some are bluer and some are greener. If you think it's more green now than when you bought it, I'm not sure what it might be due to. Could be the amount of sun, could also be the soil pH--have you had that tested?
