viburnum onandaga

My viburnum onandaga is blooming now, and I would really recommend this shrub. It is now about 5 ft tall - 2-3 years old - beautiful large lace-cap flowers which start out maroon, then open up white. The foliage is also red-tinged in the spring. A lovely alternative to lace-cap hydrangeas which are not hardy here. It is in half day morning sun and wilts a little in the sun but always recovers in the shade.
