If you do the Alexandria area, there is Ken Anderson's place, he hybridizes hostas. Then there is Chippewa Gardens which is out in the country also.....

Lake County Gardens in Otter Tail County (somewhere between Battle Lake and Fergus Falls) was a fun stop, esp. the water gardens, trees and shrubs. Jean's Right Plant Place in Perham was wonderful for perennials.

This is sure fun! I'm glad everyone is willing to share their nursery finds. We really have met some wonderful owners/workers at these small nurseries. And they have been more than willing to share info and let us know about upcoming sales, etc. We haven't really went to Otter Tail county area before, we tend to go central MN, southeastern MN, and western WI, plus the metro area, of course. My sister works in Alex, so the next time we visit, we'll have to check out those places. Enjoy!!

To get to Busse's you take Hiway 10 through Elk River to County rd 15-go north to 245th Ave (about 8 miles or so) take a left, follow to end.

If anyone heads up 35W, there is a nice place just south of North Branch called Branch Landscape Nursery. 35W to NB exit, go right, thru town, turn Sounth on Co Rd 30 (Old Hwy 61). 1-1/2 miles to 372nd St, turn left, nursery is 3/4 mile down.

Or you could take the Stacy exit and hit Wayne's Nursery on Hwy 61 just north of town, then continue on up 61 to NB.

Green Barn Garden Center on Hwy 65 just south of Isanti is a good one, too.

There is one in Chisago City, too, that is supposed to be fun. I'll get the name and post it later.
