Turtlehead question....

I have a Turtlehead that is doing great in full sun. It has been there for three years now and has spread quite a bit. I am wondering how well this would do in full shade? Will it flower a lot less even if I can give it a couple of hours of sunlight a day?

Hi Kristy,
I have a turtlehead in dappled to full shade and it is doing just fine, although it probably doesn't spread as fast as it would in full sun. In late summer it does bloom nicely - that is if the deer don't eat it first!

I also have one in dappled shade and it's doing nicely. It probably doesn't spread as fast and blooms a little bit later.

I'm glad to hear it! The difference in light between my front yard and my back yard is like night and day. At least there is something I can transplant back there.
