Haven't been here for awhile.....

my husband is finally getting into gardening with me. Yeah!!

We're looking at making a "water feature"... not sure what else to call it. We have the general layout planned, but we are curious if anyone has used different kinds of rocks in a single feature? We have an ample supply of both field rocks and flag stone. Can we use both of them in a waterfall type feature? Any thoughts would be very helpful!

I think you can do anything you wish. It would probably add interest to your feature.
