Annual climbing vine recommendation needed

Hi all,

I am looking for suggestions on an annual climbing vine. The location is east facing in a little cove between house and garage, so light shade in the afternoon. Also, it can get pretty dry in that area since the roofline blocks most rain. I would of course water it, but I would like something to thrive there, not just survive (I know, I might be asking a lot). I have morning glory seeds, but it is probably too late to start them, do you think? I will probably just head to a local greenhouse to pick something up for this year. Someone recommended cup and saucer vine, but I read up on it and it sounds like flowers don't appear until later in the summer. I don't have much red in my yard, so cardinal climber will probably be out. Would love to hear your thoughts. . .
