Where: Ying aka joyfulsnowflake's neighborhood community center in Woodbury When : Sunday June 7th at 11:00am We will swap first, then eat around 12:30pm. Please bring something for the potluck. Ying will provide coffee, soda, plate and utensils. For those of you who haven't attended a swap you may want to bring: * plants potted and labeled. • Paper & pens ready (for notes on plants, and for future trades when the plants get large enough to divide again) • a box or wagon to put your new found treasures in * sharpie and labels * garden books to swap or share * pictures of your garden * all your empty plastic garden pots The plants can be unloaded on the patio or lawn behind the community center. The swap goes like this: First, everyone goes around and give a BRIEF description of their offerings plants and other garden related objects. Then we will begin rounds Round one - everyone pick one plant.
As interest wanes, people can take what ever they may like. People need to bring all "Unclaimed" offerings home with them at the close of the swap. We can not leave any trash at the center. I put down a $250 deposit for it. I will send out an email to everyone that posts below with directions, etc about 10 days before the swap. Hope to see you all there! Ying |

Hi Ying. GW won't let me respond to the post in the exchanges section because I don't live in Minnesota any more. But I'm planning to come! I'll be bringing my husband with me and he's as excited as I am. We don't have a lot of plants to exchange yet (we moved June of last year) but we have some really pretty Michigan Rocks that I think some of you will love. We've done borders all around our gardens here and a few larger 'feature' rocks too, and we have plenty to share. We're planning on going 'rock picking' this weekend so we'll have plenty to bring along. We're also especially looking forward to seeing so many of my Minnesota gardening friends. I miss you guys! Please send me the directions. Joyce

Hi Ying. I've never received directions to the swap. Can you send them to me? Or, if someone else sees this before Ying does, can you go ahead and forward directions to me? We're leaving Michigan about 3 pm on Thursday so if they don't come before then it will be too late. Thanks!

Need directions. I have Aloe plants to swap, no perenials yet. OK, or not? If so, please send directions! Jillian

6/7 is today, Monday...I assume it was yesterday. I should check here more often, my plant sale Sat. got mostly rained out so I have a ton of plants, potted up and nowhere to go!

You didn't miss anything. This was for a swap last year (2009). Mary
