Time to make full blown compost using a tumbler?

I build a compost tumbler similar to the Tumbleweed brand and the others you see at Gertens.

I've loaded it with old leaves, a few scoops of soil, and water with a compost accelerator from Gertens.

I've heard compost in a tumbler can be achieved in just 2 weeks but that seem unrealistic to get to the nice dark stuff.

What else should I be throwing in there? Any food scraps, egg shells, coffee ground etc that would normally be thrown? What about yard waste like those anoying hellicopter seeds from the neighbors tree? What if anythings should NOT be put in the compost mix?

Thank you for all help you can offer,

Scott
