Plume Poppy Info

At the plant swap in St. Paul I got a lovely, delicate looking little seedling called a Plume Poppy which can get to be 7 feet tall.

I checked it out on Hortiplex and a few other places and I became a little concerned about the frequency of the word "invasive" in the descriptions. I would send an email to the person who brought it to the swap but I don't know who that is. If the previous owner or someone else with experience with the Plume Poppy reads this, could you let me know what your experience has been regarding this invasiveness. I sounds as though the invasion springs from traveling rhizomes. If that is the case, I wonder if cutting out the bottom of a large pot, the size trees come in, and sinking it in the ground as a home for the plant would help control it. Or is there also a problem with seeding in?

If any one can offer some information I would appreciate it. It is about the loveliest foliage I have ever seen. I would love to give it a space in my garden. Carmellia
