It looks like our house will go on the market next spring there are so many plants that need dividing and that I want to move with us that I am looking for advice on how to do it.

Has anyone ever done this?

I have considered dividing them and putting the ones to move into pots then sink them in the garden. In the spring dig them up put them in a friends yard and then they aren't there when the house is being shown. With as many plants as we have I won't be leaving holes all around.

The main reason I am thinking about doing this in the fall is that when spring rolls around we will be busy with other things.

Any comments or ideas?
