I planted a climbing hydrangea a couple of years ago and it is still small and growing very slowly. I have read that this is normal and that eventually it will take off and flower. Does anyone have one that is flowering? How long did it take?

I bought one about 8 years ago. It isn't very large yet and when it flowers I don't even notice. It produces berries the birds won't eat. Kind of a waste of money for me.

mine is five years old, and the flowers are large and outstanding. I mean really. They stand out from the plant. So beauitful. But yes, this is the first year to bloom. I just love it. Pondy
